Personal Alchemy or Mindset Coaching – Which One?

What is a Mindset Coach?

A mindset coach is someone that helps others in the form of guidance to identify limiting internal beliefs and behaviours and identify goals and actions required to obtaining an objective.  This can take various forms and usually involves helping clients with changing internal beliefs, generating new ideas and behaviours to be implemented.  Conventional methods are used such as asking open-ended questions, setting SMART Goals, affirmations and more.

What is a Personal Alchemist?

A Personal Alchemist is someone that works with clients to identify limiting internal beliefs and behaviours and identify goals and actions required to obtaining an objective.  A Personal Alchemist will help clients live from the inside out.  This means helping clients  creating the mental sensations of an already obtained objective, which will shift internal thinking and behaviours to influence external behaviours that agree with elemental thought patterns implemented. Some techniques used by mindset coaches can be used along with mind-work (mediation, creative visualisation) and breath-work.

Working with a Personal Alchemist is a powerful way to take charge of your life.  They will use unique techniques that have been used for centuries and are proven to help individuals increase their confidence and change their mindset for the better.  It works in such a way that individual will notice that almost automatically that they are being drawn in the direction of their goals.  To give an example – Similar to a talk by Tim Robbins some years ago, where if you have a goal in mind such as buying a new car, one will begin to notice that same make and model car everywhere,  (the part of the brain that deals with this called the Reticular Activating System).  Perhaps you may even be taken for a test drive in the same car until almost as if by magic, the car is now in possession.

The ancients of days gone have known about the power of the mind and now modern science backs up what people have known for centuries. All of this have been picked up by millionaires and successful business people alike, such as top performing sales people, professional athletes and Olympic competitors and the like.

Which one to choose?

This is a very personal choice and to help, it would be good to consider the following points.

Ask yourself some questions:

      • What outcomes or performance improvements am I looking for?
      • What am I prepared to put in to the programme in order to achieve these outcomes?
      • How will I manage my time and energy to put into practice the changes I identify through coaching or mentoring?
      • How will I ensure my company or friends and relatives will support me to make the changes I want to?

Think about:

      • Which appeals to you: Every coach, and every person on this planet, has a certain style, approach, worldview and energy to their work. Make sure it’s a good fit with your style.
      • Talk to the prospective coach: A good sign is if you feel really excited and inspired by your initial discussion
      • Delivery: face-to-face, email, telephone or video based or a mixture or these this is likely to impact on both the cost and the effectiveness of the programme.
      • Experience: Check that they have the relevant coaching experience for people at your level and above.

As human animals, we are very complex and with the barrage of information fed to us, it is easy for the continuous stream of negative self-deprecating chatter to derail us from our highest good.  This permeates our feelings of self-worth and contributes to setting ourselves up for failure in both personal and work areas of life.  Just by implementing one of the seven keys as described in the Capstone Pattern Course could begin to reverse of the negative effects that the above has had for years of your life.

It takes only 28 – 33 days to implement a new pattern of behaviour.  As discussed in a previous post about setting systems, just by implementing small repetitive actions in the direction of your goals with discipline. You’ll notice the positive behaviours as set out by a Personal Alchemist or Mindset Coach.
